In Visual Studio 2017 15.9.20 when attempting to attach a work item to a commit from Azure DevOps Visual Studio will completely crash after a few seconds of attempting to fetch the information from ADO. Steps to reproduce are below.
1.) Click Team Explorer Tab
2.) Click "Changes"
3.) Enter a comment
4.) Click + icon to expand textbox for Work Item #.
5.) Search or Enter a Work Item #
At this point Visual Studio will hang for a few seconds, the spinner will appear next to the cursor for a few seconds and then VS will crash to desktop. Visual Studio cannot be restarted without clearing the Work Items from an XML file in the project, otherwise the VS enters a crash loop.
