Turned on my PC today and I suddenly have a new profile, that I did not
create (or at least that I realized I created). The admin profile name is
Janice. But this new profile is Alice.Alice-Dell. Everything seems to be
the same as in the Janice profile. But the Alice profile has a new
registration number. My PC is almost dead in the water it runs so slow.
ANY idea as to what happened and how I can fix it? OS is Windows Prof2000,
PC is an older Dell laptop.

Re: New Profile Assigned

Hello A,

A profile did not come up itself. If you are the only one with access to
the machine and it doesn't exist when you start working with the machine,
it seems that you should check for spyware etc. Also you can just remove
it. in the run line type compmgmt.msc and here go to local users and groups.
|Under users delete the account and then delete the profile from the machine.

Re: New Profile Assigned

Try holding the shift key while logging off and then logon as Janice. I tend
to agree, possibly malware at work.
