Folks,
Please share your thoughts on whether Access is perfect fit for performing data manipulation as compared to performing the same in an excel file having 100k+ records.
We are using Vbscript to perform data manipulation using excel objects which is causing CPU to hit 100% and thereby blocking the execution for sometime, situation get worse when running this script causing high cpu usage which in return causes the VDI to disconnect.
An alternate solution would be to upload the excel file into MS Access and dynamically create a database and tables followed by executing queries to replicate the same set of steps performed in excel to generate a result.
