I have been writing C# applications for a number of years and publishing them for use on my own PC using the Publish Wizard found under build>publish (I select a local disc file path "D;\Documents\ microsoft" location, install from "CD_ROM or DVD ROM, "application will not check for updates" ).
I have now started to get an error "Cannot Start Application" when setup.exe is opened and attempts to install the app.
Pressing "Details" reveals the error is "Store metadata DeploymentProviderURi is not valid". I have VS 2013, 2017 and 2019 installed - all exhibit the same behavior. I am running Windows 10 vers 1909 with latest updates.
The problem has occurred sometime in the last 6 weeks and I note there has been a couple of significant OS updates in this period.
Any assistance with this issue would be appreciated
