Compatibility with SQL Server 12

I need to upgrade my packages from VS 2012 to either VS 2015 or 2017 under Windows 7 Enterprise. We are currently running SQL Server 2012.

Could you please tell me if Visual Studio 2015 and 2017 are compatible with SQL Server 2012? If not, which version of SQL Server would be compatible with VS 2015/2017?
