My laptop is hibernating of its own volition despite:
1. It being connected to the AC adapter and the "Put Computer To Sleep"
option with the state "Plugged In" being set to "Never."
2. that I am actively using it...with keypresses and non-wireless mouse use
(not using touchpad...fingers too oily)
When I hit the power switch, the start-up is a classic resumption from
hibernation.
Sure, I fully realize that the description of these events will be
dismissed with a wave of the hand and fraternity boy chortle as that of a
(l)user unaware of his configuration and machine options set by his own
hand and overriding the software OS maker's wisely chosen defaults.
But then again, I won't be surprised to learn a few months later than
Microsoft has quietly placed a solution to this "issue" in the Knowledge
Base.
