AutomationElement - Select a tab item from google doesn't work

Hello,



I'm able to connect to Microsoft Edge or Google chrome and get the tab of interest, I would like to select it so it shows up.
I can always make a mouse click but this is not ideal in my case.
I found a lot o article saying to do the following, I tried many things but I'm not able to make it work.

((SelectionItemPattern)tabitem.GetCurrentPattern(SelectionItemPattern.Pattern)).Select();

Any idea?
