Hi,

I've install terminal services im my SBS2003.
I've also installed a 5 licence CAL. When I open Terminal Server Licensing,
I have:
"Terminal Server Per User CAL Token" Install with the 5 licenses available.
So far so good.
But when I Have 2 users login, the 3 will no t log because no licence is
availabe.
I've seen that when I go to Terminal Services Configuration, the only mode
available is "Remote Access....", I have do not have "Per Seat" or "Per User"
available.
Help....

Re: Licensing TS

Hi,

SBS 2003 does not support running Terminal Services.
For this you need a separate server running Windows
2003 Standard. Depending on your server hardware
and expected load from the TS users you could set up
a virtual server with 2003 Standard running directly
on your current server.

Re: Licensing TS

You can *not* have installed Terminal Services, only the Terminal
Services Licensing Services, because terminal Services is not
present and cannot be installed on an SBS2003 server.

This is documented in the SBS 2003 FAQ:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/sbs/evaluation/faq/term.
mspx

If you need a Terminal Server on your network, you are going to
need a second server, which runs Windows 2003 St. Edition.
Documented here:

Deploying Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server to Host User Desktops
in a Windows Small Business Server 2003 network
