Here are the facts.
First, I removed all instances of previous versions of Visual Studio, dating back to Visual Studio 6, up to Visual Studio 2017.
Removed any remaining Visual Studio folders from the drive.
First attempt to download using Google Chrome failed as Chrome blocked the download of the installer. No option appears to have been made available to stop that behavior.
Next attempt using Microsoft Edge, appears to have downloaded the installed, but when I try to open the file, nothing happens. Close Edge, then go directly to the file, and it still does not open.
My system has 16GB of system RAM. Running the latest 1909 build of Windows 10.
I am really stuck. Wish I had left Community 2017 installed. At least I could continue coding.
