I screwed up my PC. Please help !

Hi,

Logged in as Admininstrator & I Ran GPEDIT.MSC and Enabled the options
under USER CONFIGURATION / ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES / SYSTEM /

(1) Disable Command Prompt = Enabled
(2) Disable Registry Editing Tools = Enabled
(3) Run only allowed Windows Applications = Enabled

Now my PC is locked and cannot do anything. Yes, it was stupid of me
but is there a way to get out of it?

My Hard-drive is FAT32 Formatted. Also, I cannot execute any file, so
when I type in mmc.exe, nothing happens as all the access to programs
have gone. :-(

I think that all of these settings are valid within the scope of the
"Current User". The standard corrective action would therefore
consist of logging on under your alternative admin account and
fix it. If you haven't got one, think for a moment how many sets
of keys you have for your car and why it's more than one.

This link will probably help you solve the problem. It suggests
that the restrictions you applied are kept here:
KCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer.

You will need to edit the registry either via a networked machine
(for which you may not have the required permissions) or by
editing it in off-line mode on a different machine.

It would be a good idea to take a snapshot of your registry
once every so often, using a tool such as regback.exe. Having
a recent backup would reduce the risks of your experiments
considerably.

Bad luck. This would be a good time to think about
some robust backup schemes. Remember that these
schemes are useless unless you fully test them.

The file system makes no difference. Logon as another user with admin
permissions. Failing that these may help.
