Typing Text issue

When I type an e-mail message or text in a webpage text area, or even a text
document in Notepad or another Text Editor, the cursor jumps time to time to
different places around the text, so I need to return it to the text end
every time. May it be Laptop Trackpad related or Win settings? What to do to
prevent cursor jumping?

The text cursor can be moved with the mouse. Therefore, do your best to
clean both the keyboard & mouse & trackpad. There was more matted hair
under my keys than on my head, but I really suspect it is your mouse at
fault. Untangle its wire as well.

Best also update defs & run a virus scan, but that wasn't what did
similar to me.

There should be a control panel for the trackpad, to adjust its settings. It may be
in Control Panel, or it may be accessed via an icon ion the tray next to the clock.
Make sure any setting to "jump" to anywhere is disabled. You may need to turn off
the option to tap the trackpad for a click (use the buttons instead). Your sleeve
or the heel of your hand may be grazing the touchpad while you type, causing it to
move and click; hence the suggestion to disable clicking via the pad itself rather
than the buttons below it.

Glee

The laptop Touchpad Pointer Motion is set to Slowest, and there is no option
to disable its buttons, only switch it ON or OFF. I like using it, but I
didn't notice touching it with sleeves. May be just moving too close.
However, when the pointer is moved, an extra click is required to fix it in a
new position. I definitely didn't click on it, hence there must be something
else, unless the typing sequence is too fast at times to be recognized
properly.

Re: Typing Text issue
