Hello,

I have recently attempted to get the RDT to work and I am unable to get it
to work. I configured the proper RDT panel in the contro panel, turned off
the fire wall, and I can see the compter when I perform a computer search.
Further, I can pull up a shared folder on the computer that I want to RDT
from the other PC and browse the shared files located there. Both systems
are using XP Professional. When I attempt to use RDT I get an error telling
me that the computer can't found and that I need to talk to the
administrator. Does anyone have any deas what is going here?

RE: Can't get XP remote desktop to work

I am reminded an old lesson that I learned a long time ago. Whenever in
doubt during a system difficulty perform a Windows Update!

All during my panic attempt to get XP DeskTop Remote to work I never
attempted to perform a general Windows software Update. Well, I did and that
seemed to resolve what ever it was that I was colliding with my XP DeskTop
Remote configuration.

Hallelujah!
