Hi group, newbie to this group, oldie to W2K. I had my Quick Launch
Toolbar nicely grouped with all my favorites together, then automatic
downloads updated something and quietly re-arranged my toolbar
alphabetically, which is something I really did not want as I was
accustomed to my layout. Now I have to go back and redo it all over
again. What I'd like to know is why Microsoft thinks they have to
control everything. Just who says everyone wants or needs their QLT
arranged alphabetically without asking? Their empirical domination
(akin to that of Symantec in changing users' settings without
permission) and their obvious bullying approach is not tolerable,
especially not by me, and I need to know how to prevent this from re-
occurring. Is there a switch in the registry that will prevent the re-
ordering or re-arranging of the QLT without user permission?
Thanks.
