All of my different offices are connected to the same server - or they can
connect to the same server. We all have access to a Drive, where we can all
save things and all look at them, etc.
I am wondering if there is any way to automatically be notified if a new
file has been created in a folder?
Basically what I am looking for is something that can be used instead of the
public folders in Outlook, where if someone posts something there or sends an
e-mail to the specified address, it notifies you that there is a new
document. My company is not utilizing this feature in Outlook, so I am trying
to find another solution.
Currently I am receiving large pdf files by e-mail. I then open the files
and print, I then used to delete the file. Well I found that I am usually
needing to look back at the files within a couple of weeks of deleting, so I
am saving 2 months worth - the current month and the previous month. HOWEVER,
now I am finding that I would like to go back 2-3 months, so I would like to
save the pdf files in a folder on the server, however my server and computer
sucks so it takes 5-10 minutes to save these pdf files from an e-mail, due to
the size - at that's if it doesn't just freeze my computer completely!!
