My father's computer won't start windows. I am going to use the reinstall
disk that came with the computer, but would like to try to save his files
first. I have located everything except the address book used by outlook
express. Can anyone tell me the default location of the file?
Please note that I cannot use the OE program to export it, as I cannot start
windows.
Thank you

Re: default location for OE address book

C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\????.wab
should get you what you're looking for.

Re: default location for OE address book

http://www.insideoe.com/resources/tools.htm
The above site has an excellent backup app for OE, may not help in your
case, but, it is a good resource site, anyway.
Heirloom, old and backups are good
