Hi all

I have installed Terminal Server and can access it through the local IP
using Remote Desktop.

What do I have to do to be able to access it through an external static IP.
Where do I have to define it.

Thank you.

RE: Access Terminal Server from an external IP

You have to connect to your server through some kind of VPN connection ,
possibly a secured router from sisco or others (you need a STATIC WAN IP to
connect to office) . After making the connection, just connect with remote
desktop RDP from your remote computer just if you where locally.

Re: Access Terminal Server from an external IP

VPN is the preferred way as that doesn't expose your internal network to
the internet. If you want to not be secure and expose your internal
network to the internet you could simply use NAt at your firewall for
that particular box but again that is not recommended at all.
