Greetings,

I need help on how to go about on setting up access to end users on
our terminal server.

This is what I have... I have one terminal server on it's own OU and
user's on it's own also. Now, I have a bunch of workstations that has
WinXP w/o hard drive in them (just a rom or other) and the TS. Now
what I would like to do w/o creating a mandatory profile is to
basically lock down everything work station and terminal access
besides the applications. On the workstation side, I would like the
users to have no access except for the log-off, shutdown/restart, and
the remote desktop icon on the desktop. On the terminal side, I would
like the user to just see and only be able to click on the
applications that I want or what icon I want them to see.

Here is what I tried so far... on the OU under user name, I created
and restricted the users on the GPO and it affected bot the
workstation and the terminal server profile.

I just want some help on how to go about on setting this up properly.

Regards,

See my document on Understanding Group Policy in a TS environment and
that will explain what needs to be done. You'll be using a group policy
item called loopback processing.
