Ok I'm having a few issues with Windows Update on Vista Ultimate x64. I
didn't have any of these issues with 32 bit.

First is Windows Dreamscene. For some reason, even after installing
correctly the first time, it's still showing up in my available downloads
list and never fails each time I try.

Second is the language packs. The majority installed correctly but for some
reason Danish, Dutch, Greek, Hebrew, Japanese, Norwegian, and Serbian
(Latin) are failing every time I try.

Third, every time I click on the More Information link, for example,
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=81071 (this is the link for supposedly
more information on the Japanese Language Pack) my web browser redirects to
the Vista information homepage...

Any information on any of these issues, especially the update ones, would be
great. Thanks!

Re: Windows Updates

I'd suggest asking over on the Windows Update newsgroup. I haven't heard or
seen anything that indicates any sort of widespread 64-bit issue with 64-bit
Vista and updates. I certainly haven't seen any of the issues you're
describing. My suspicion is that it's a more general WU problem as opposed
to a 64-bit issue. The newsgroup is: microsoft.public.windowsupdate.

Re: Windows Updates

Ok. I didn't know there was a Windows Update newsgroup... MS certainly
hasn't made this the easiest site to navigate. Thanks.

Re: Windows Updates

First rule - WHATEVER it is, there's probably a newsgroup for it. At least
as far as I've been able to tell. ;)

It's why most of us use the NNTP interface and not the web one.
