Hi

I have had my Vista Home Premium PC for just over a month now.
It came with a free 60 day trial of Norton 2007.
As I was new to vista....
I just used the Norton 2007 and I didn't touch windows defender for
the first 3 weeks.
I new Defender was on, so I just presumed it was working.

Around the 3rd week of getting my PC, I decided to have a look at the
settings for Defender.
On the home page of Defender it said :- Last Scan - Not Available.
I found the settings page. And....
I realised Defender was set to scan in the middle of the night.
I switch my PC off at night!
So I set Defender to scan in the day.
Ran a quick scan and thought nothing more about it.

A few days later I tried to update Norton 2007... It wouldn't work!
I could not update the virus definitions.

As it was only a trial.... I uninstalled.... And installed Norton 360.

Just in case Defender had been the problem....
I set it back for scanning at night (Knowing the PC would be off!)

I don't really like the Idea of turning Defender compleatly off.

That was last week!

So far... So Good... With Norton 360.

But today when I turned on the PC.... Windows Defender popped up saying....

You Have Not Scaned For 3 Days (Last scan 29.11.07) - Scan Now.

How did it scan on th 29th if I've set it for the middle of the night?
Because I've now woke it up.... Will it keep scanning unless I turn it
compleatly off?

I'm now scared Norton 360 is going to stop working like 2007 did.

So can someone tell me.... Do Norton & Defender Play Nice Or Fight?
