I have a customer who is in the middle of a domain migration.
The forest is 2000
The old domain is 2000 native
The new domain is 2003 native
There was forest prep for 2003 in Aug 2005
There was a forest prep for 2003 R2 in March of this year
In the old domain; moving an xp client from one OU to another would result
in the following key on the local machine being updated:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group
Policy\State\Machine
On the new domain; if the computer object is moved to a differnt OU; the
client does not update the key above; and as a consequence the Print
Management Console policies do not work after the object has been moved.
Any ideas?
