Sooo,
littleguru pointed me here and to C8,*Edge.
I´ve been bugging Charles for lower bit + frame rates for months now and I see this is (partially) available on C8 (and soon?*in 9!)*in combo with desired target formats like iPod,... which is great.
And he promised explicit mention of whiteboarding or code apart from existing implicit hints from the preview image.
As I went through a lot of sites recently I may mix things up, but my impression is that consistency and informativeness*of file names still leave a lot to be desired?! I.e. topic first, then people,...???
As I have influential people here: Could anyone give my regards to the Webcast team?!
The Webcasts are unbelievably great (and that at 10MB for an hour), but to go through six windows for one download is the worst I´ve seen in the whole industry.
And if this wasn´t enough one always downloads to the same filename!!! On top of that since recently WMVs come zipped. Yet another step - WHICH RESULTS IN THE SAME FILE NAME. Unbelievably hard to keep track of several downloads at one time and real work.
As I have influential people here: Have to use the ancient spyware Go!Zilla download manager (don´t care to search for yet another one) because I can´t persuade the MS File Transfer Manager to kick in for the 1GB SQL Nov CTP download!!! My connection occassionably drops. REAL FUN with a 1GB d/l!!!
