My TS users time out within a 15 minute time factor. Is this TS controlling
the time or is it the user's screen saver default settings? If it is the TS
settings, how do I control it and where?

RE: TS sessions time out???

This can be specified on the terminal server via terminal services
configuration manager.

If the area is grayed out, where else do I look?

A grayed-out setting means that it is configured in a Group Policy.
Check which GPOs apply to your TS by running the Resultant Set of
Policies (RSoP).

When I try to run the RSoP I get a message back about the RPC service not
running. Where do I start the RPC service? I noticed that there is a RPC
over HTTP service. Is this the same item?

RE: TS sessions time out???

Here are troubleshooting tips:

911799 - Error message in a Windows Server 2003-based domain or in
a Windows 2000 Server-based domain: "The remote procedure call
failed and did not run"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911799/en-us

If this doesn't help, please report with the *exact* error message
and EventID and Source from the EventLog.

RE: TS sessions time out???

The only error I get is "The RPC server is unavailable". I looked in the
event viewer and no such luck. Any suggestions?

RE: TS sessions time out???

Have you used all the tools mentioned i the KB article?
Checked EventLog on your DCs, run dcdiag, captured network traffic?
Are you logged in with a Domain Administrator account on the TS?
