WinMe is creating Automatic Shortcut of every action i take
and even browsing the folders. All these Shortcuts are

What you are seeing is normal and the purpose of the ..\Windows\Recent
folder.in that it provides a history of recently opened documents and
folders. XP is the same other than rather than ..\Windows\Recent it
places the links/history in C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\My Recent
Documents.

It's been a long time since I played with this but seem to recall that
this document history can be disabled by using regedit and creating the
DWORD NoRecentDocsHistory located at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
and setting it to 1 (or rather 01 00 00 00 ). Alternatively use TweakUI
and uncheck the box "Add new documents to Documents on Start Menu" found
on the IE tab.

You can also limit the number of entries by using regedit and creating the
dword "MaxRecentDocs" at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
and setting its value to the number required, The number is binary so for
example, to have the last twenty (20) entries listed MaxRecentDocs would
need to be set to 14.

You can also clear the Recent Documents folder each time you shutdown the
system, either by checking the box "Clear document, run, typed URL history
on exit"" found on the IE tab in TweakUI or by using regedit and creating
the dword ClearRecentDocsOnExit at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
and setting it to 1 (or rather 01 00 00 00 )
