Hello Everyone,

I have TS 5.0 and I know you can disable windows printer mappings however
does this setting apply to mapped printers via login script? The login
script has to run so they get their networked drives, however the printers
(because of the application being used on the TS server) need to be disabled
from being run from the login script since we setup the printers manually on
this TS server instead.

Right now the TS server has a check mark next to Windows Printer Mappings,
and I'm assuming it's disabled. I guess I need a clarification what this
setting means and if there's a way to disable printers being mapped over via
login script.

RE: Disabling Windows Printer Mappings

hi,
the settings on TS to disable printer mapping is refer to clients when they
connect to have the local printers mapped or not even theese printers are
shared or not on client.

when you use a script to map the printer on login script or they run from a
command line to map printers theese printers have to be shared and users
must have rights to add/install printers.

that 2 situations dosent have anything in comun, if you disable printer
mapping on TS and printers are shared on client users can stil map the
printers from login script, command line etc.

RE: Disabling Windows Printer Mappings

What you're saying is that, it will not be possible to disable the printers
being mapped over via login script when a user logs into a TS session?
