Hi All.

Like the title says, I'm in the process of migrating my Win2003 TS to new
hardware. I would like to retain the original server name and IP so I don't
have to update my thin clients. The target server is currently running a
fresh install of Server 2003 R2 SP2, and has a temporary server name and IP.

What are the steps necessary to make this migration run as smooth as
possible and minimizing down time?

I'm also concerned with licensing. Are there any special steps I need to
take?

Thanks in advance

Johan

It is possible to change to server name afterwards but only if the installed
applications have no problem with the change.
