Many people do not even know what a command line is. The
software product keys or serial numbers etc. on a computer can
be found via a variety of ways, but for people who can't deal
with command lines, using a registry editor/viewer, or using
general file viewers, Googling for a number is the easiest. I
could have given him MY number and saved him the Googling, I
suppose.
Don't top post.
