I am trying to setup a mail server on windows 2003 server. The installtion
went OK. I setup my domain, mailbox, etc.
I configured in Outlook to access the mail server. When I test it, it goes
through OK, however, the test email is never delivered. Eventually, I get an
error message back:
Reporting-MTA: dns; isp.att.net
Arrival-Date: 13 Dec 2007 11:56:19 +0000
Final-Recipient: rfc822; myaddress@mydomain.com
Action: failed
Status: 4.4.7 Unable to contact host for 1 days,
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; Persistent Transient Failure: Delivery time expired
Last-Attempt-Date: 13 Dec 2007 11:56:19 +0000
I have opened ports 25 and 100 through ny router. I setup IIS to relay. I
configured MX records to point at my server.
I have another server that I configured similarly and was successful. This
one I can't get to work.
Anyone have ideas?
