Be prepared, I have NO idea what I'm doing here...I have a server which I've
installed 10 TS CAL's. I have users that I want to hit this server over our
VPN to access an Access database. All these users belong to the domain and
I've added them to the Remote Access Security Group.

Here are a few rookie questions:

1. Do I have to install Access any difference on the server than normally
since it's being used via TS?
2. How to I customize the Desktop users see when they log in to the server
via TS?
3. How do I restrict the use of other apps installed on this server?
4. On the user's local pc, do I have them run "mstsc.exe" to initiate the TS
connection?
5. Can the user print to a printer on their local network from the TS server
over the VPN?

Sorry to pile all these questions into one post and thanks for the help!!

Simply make sure you install it using Control Panel | Add/Remove
Programs. Or if you prefer open a command prompt and type CHANGE USER
/INSTALL and press enter. Then install the app. Once finished, go back
to the command prompt and type CHANGE USER /EXECUTE. If you use Control
Panel, this is done for you automatically.

You can use Folder Redirection to redirect the Start Menu and the
Desktop to a network location. And if you need different ones depending
on Group Membership, you can do that as well with folder redirection.
Once this is done it is simply a matter of copying the right shortcuts
to the folders.

To hide the shortcuts, use folder redirection as explained above. To
actually lock down the app so unauthorized users cannot use it, create
groups like 'Microsoft Office Professional Users' and set the NTFS
permissions on the Office Professional executables to this group only
(and administrators/system of course).

Yes. Or you can create a shortcut with parameters already pointing to
the right TS.

Yes they can.
