Re: XP x64 Pro Hibernation Issue
By default the motherboard will be set to assume you have a 32 bit operating
system and the maximum memory you could address would be 4GB.
There are some motherboard BIOS settings which can be changed - if they
exist - to allow you to map the PCI memory above 4GB and use 4GB of RAM, or
more if your board supports it.
The settings you will probably have are Software memory hole remapping and
Hardware memory hole remapping which can both be enabled. These are
effective only for a 64-bit OS.
You may also have a setting for MTRR mapping mode which may be set to
Discrete or Continuous.
You will need to experiment to find the best, stable settings for your
motherboard.
