have been told that having the Licenses installed on the actual Terminal
Server is a bad idea. We have 3 Terminal Servers that have the licenses
installed on them directly. If this is a bad thing....how can I move the
licenses from those servers to another server and what kind of server would
be better suited for the licenses to be installed ?Should it be a DC or
member server ? Can I install all the different licenses on a single server
(we have device CALs and User CALs)? Can it be a Virtual Machine?

RE: Terminal Server Licenses on the Terminal Server itself

It is possible to have the license server installed on the terminal server
itself. If you want to move them to another server, just install the TS
license server on another server and reinstall the licenses. It's not a
problem to have different licenses installed on one server.
