Using Vpl to enable humanoid to detect colors

hi everyone, i am new on this vpl stuff & my project needs me to use vpl to enable my humanoid to walk in a coloured enviroment & pick up a coloured object & drop it at a designated area. Can anyone help?i'm really clueless.
