This month I’m starting work on the re-write one of our two major Windows applications.* This application is 8+ years old, and is in desperate need of revamping.* Since Microsoft will no longer develop the WinForms platform, I think my best bet is to go with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).* As long as these applications that we write*tend to hang around, I want to have what is the current state-of-the-art form generation mechanism for a Windows application.* But I have to admit that it has been a few years since I’ve written any significant Windows application, and I’ve never written a WPF application.* I believe that VS 2008 has better support for*WPF design, than was available in VS 2005, so that is good, but I would still like to have a book handy to help me learn how to do what we’ve got to do, writing a WPF app in VS 2008.* I’ve just checked out Amazom.com and Barnes & Noble, and all I can find are books that have not been released yet.* (“WPF in Action with Visual Studio 2008” by Arlen Feldman and Maxx Daymon, and “Programming C# 3.0 (Programming)” by Jesse Liberty and Donald Wie.* Both books have future release dates.* The book by Liberty and Wie will be released sooner, but looks like it covers all of C# 3.0, which would be good, but may not go into the depth that I am looking for.)
So, I am wondering if anyone knows of any other books which will fit what I’m looking for, that you recommend?
