Hi,
Bought a new notebook with 4GB of RAM and it came with Windows Vista
Ultimate, 32bit. I went to the MS website to order the 64bit "Alternative
Media", but was made aware that the offer didnt include/support OEM versions.
I went to my OEM (as suggested) and was told that they did not stock it and
the only way to upgrade to 64bit would be the buy the retail product.....
which is unacceptable since i paid for the OS with the notebook, im not
prepared to spend £300+ to get a license for something i already have.
Perhaps its too much to hope for, but if someone from or representing
Microsoft could give me any information on what to do that would be good.
