Local printer not created in session

I have a group of 5 TS users. One has a shared Brother HL-2040 on LPT1,
paralell. The rest have the networked Brother as their default printer. Until
yesterday when anyone logged into TS the Brother was created as a printer in
their session and they could print to it. Now only one computer (Computer A)
has this printer when they log in. The local computer (Computer B) that hosts
the printer does not their own printer.

Another computer (how about C?) has the printer installed as a network
printer on Computer B but it is not created in a TS session when they log on
unless computer A is also in session. Then they see the printer as
"BrotheronComputer B (from Computer A) in session 1".

If computer A closes its session then computer C has no printers.

The only change I made yesterday was to add a windows 2000 TS client on the
LAN where the TS server is.

I have checked various settings (which seem to be right) but what perlexes
me is that this worked 2 days ago.

Thanks for any help forthcoming.

Brent

PS - another topic: Computer C can SOMETIMES copy and paste from her local
machine to her TS desktop and sometimes not. ??

Re: Local printer not created in session

Are there any events in the event log on the server when the printer is not
created on the session?

For the copy/paste issue, is clipboard redirection enabled on the Remote
Desktop Connection options in the client and in tscc.msc on the server and
in the group policy of the server?

There are no events logged when the computer that host the printer logs into
TS.

When I right click/Edit the client rdp file I do not see a clipboard
redirection switch anywhere.

On the server in tscc under connection properties, client settings, I see a
checkbox to disable clipboard mapping but it is NOT checked.

How do I determine the version of the RDP client? All my WAN TS clients are
running XP Pro with all service packs and updates installed. I have only one
Win 2000 client and it is on the LAN.

Re: Local printer not created in session

Also I'm not sure how to check or change the group policy concerning
clipboard redirection.
