1.i'm running windows vista,i assumed this is obvious cuz this is the vista
community..
2.it used to work correctly before the updates, now it's working correctly
too..
3.the recent KB's are too many, let me try to count them for u:
KB938194,KB941649,936824,936357,941651,943302,936825,933928,943899,943411,937077,942763,939159.
Those are only the "Update for windows vista",there's other KB's for security
updates which i did not mention here, bcz i dont think they are responsible
for that change.
4.the only problem is that, before the updates were installed, the theme was
the original vista theme, with the windows, the toolbars, the taskbar, and the
start menu having this shiny silver color..now after those updates are
installed,those items have a different color ( a different theme),they look
as old as windows 98 or 95. i tried to change the theme back (control
panel-->appearance-->change theme), i couldnt find the original theme that
gives those items the previous shapes and colors..also the side bar (with the
gadgets) is not trasparent as it used to be,it's solid gray in color.

so what can i do to restore the original theme back?maybe uninstall one of
those updates..what do u think..
i hope this is clear enough,thnx..

RE: theme changed (2)

You might need to refresh your Windows Experience Index (WEI) rating.
1. Click Start
2. In the search box, type Performance Information and Tools, hit enter
3. Click the Update my score link
4. Click Continue on the User Account Control dialog

Ensure the following services are running:
- Desktop Windows Manager
- Themes

(Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services).

OR

Type "services.msc" (no quotes) from your Run > Dialog Box.
