I am running a native windows 2000 forest. It has 2 windows 2000 native
domains. In the first domain we have mostly all windows 2003 Domain
controllers, but still have 2 windows 2000 Domain controllers. In our
second domain we have only 2 windows 2000 domain controllers. I want to
raise the functional level of the domain to windows 2003 native domain and
then the forest.

Can i do this with my current setup. I know I have some windows 2000 Domain
Controllers but raising it to windows 2003 means you cannot introduce any
more windows 2000 DC but the existing ones can still operate in a windows
2003 native mode. Is this correct

Re: raising to windows 2003 Native Mode

Thanks for the links but it does not answer the key question which is if you
have to raise the domain to a windows 2003 native mode can the w2000 DC
still work as DC, I know you cannot introduce anymore w2000 DC, but what
about the existing w2000 DC, how would they operate.
