The *WE* people are those of us who do not like putting money in Sam
Walton's pockets. WE are called Canadians!! And you might be surprised
to know that there are other stores where people can get bargains and
such besides WalMart.

Guess you don't watch TV or read a newspaper then.

You may be Canadian, but you are definitely not speaking for all of them, or
the WalMart stores 'up there' would be empty, which I doubt to be the case.
Don't worry about me 'reading the paper' or 'watching tv', I'm living it
right here.
What was the subject, again???

I don't want to add to the international incident that's brewing here but
he's been dead over 15 years so I doubt he minds much.

I'm not familiar with this news source so I can't vouch for its honesty or
impartiality but they did recently publish this:

http://www.newswire.ca/en/releases/archive/October2007/01/c6902.html

An excerpt from the above article: "Established in 1994 and headquartered
in Mississauga, Ontario, Wal-Mart Canada operates a growing network of 278
Wal-Mart discounts stores, eight
supercentres and six SAM'S CLUB locations. Since 2000, more than 100
Canadian
communities have lobbied or petitioned to have a Wal-Mart store built in
their
towns. Every week in Canada, Wal-Mart raises and contributes more than
$290,000 to Canadian charities. Last year alone, the company raised and
donated more than $15 million to charities across the country. Throughout
Canada, Wal-Mart employs over 70,000 Canadians and has been consistently
ranked one of the best companies to work for in Canada by international
human-resources firm Hewitt Associates and Report on Business Magazine. A
2006
Synovate survey showed that 80 per cent of Canadians with a Wal-Mart store
in
their community are glad we're there."

Never heard of them to be honest....

The article didn't mention that WE, the people of Peel and Mississauga,
stopped them from building a humungous warehouse at the Peel/Mississauga
border......

Nor is it mentioned that they closed down a store to prevent it being
unionized. (Which isn't a bad thing, actually). Happened in Union
Carbide eons ago when I worked there.

Hey.....they can sell all they want. I do not shop there. My choice.

Want me to have my neighbours send you a bunch of posts?? None of them
shop there either. And Krispy Kreme is not doing well at all up here.
Those aren't REAL donuts.

My memory isn't bad, considering, it was your's in question.
You will not find any 'meds' in my cabinet.
How about a puff of that 'Peace Pipe'?
