Were you able to get Machine Authentication to work with Vista and
Windows XP. I am about to try it myself.
I am using windows 2003 Server with Microsoft Vista as my client.
I want the PC to authenticate first then I will select CTRL+ALT+DELETE
and login in with my Username and Password.
If anybody knows how to do this with Vista please let me know.

Hi Scott,

try this,

Go to Control Panel then System and Maintenance then System and do the
following:

Under Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, click Change
settings.

From the System Properties dialog box, click Change.

In the Computer Name Changes dialog box, type the computer name in
Computer name. Click Domain and type the Active Directory domain name.

Click OK.

When prompted, type your domain name and password to join the computer
to the domain.

Restart the computer when prompted.

I just need to get certificates setup on my Windows 2003 Server. I
don't need to do anything special to get Certificates to work for
Machine Authentication do I?
