Hey all,

I just recently replaced some problem profiles with shiney clean profiles ..
and I'm having the problem that in office when they spell check they no
longer have the option to add to the dictionary .. it's only a problem for
the users with the new profiles and the old profile users still have the
ability .. i'm not sure if that's a TS or OFFICE issue?

Thanks for any advice

Re: TS or Office issue?

This sounds more like an Office issue. Please post the query in
"microsoft.public.office.misc" newsgroup.

RE: TS or Office issue?

Word is looking for %userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Proof

It is trying to create the file CUSTOM.DIC...

I had this problem before and it lies with the folder redirection of the
application data folder.

If you have the application data folder redirected then try this:

Check your group policy where you have your folder redirection set.

Check the settings tab under the Application Data Folder and make sure “Move
the contents of Application Data to the new location” is checked.

I don’t know the scope of your environment but this setting worked for me.

Please test this before putting into production.

When a new user logs in to the term server for the first time the
application data folder is on the local drive of the term server and upon
logoff the local folder is synced with the redirected application data folder
along with all the repopulated sub folders.
