I so agree with that, Mike!! I had a Dell ordered for my wife to begin
with......after months of delays (which they were fully aware of when I
ordered!!!), I cancelled the order while our machine was being assembled and
due to ship that day, or so they said. I purchased an HP locally, got a
bigger, better machine with tons of extras (speakers, wireless optical
mouse, jump drive, case, etc.) for less money. Of course, she ended up with
Vista Home Premium, but, she likes it. <gag> I couldn't believe all the
'junk' that came on it and one has to make their own backup discs! I got a
250G USB HD and Acronis, she has all the backups she needs....from new and
pristine to loaded.
Heirloom, old and still need to seek out the Symantec dregs
