Hello all.
How do I clear the user account's Searches items (i.e. recent documents,
recent email, recently changed) gotten to by clicking Start, user name
('Opens the XXX folder, where you can find folders for Documents, Pictures,
Music and other files that belong to you')?

I am a computer admin on my Windows Vista Home Pro machine but I am able to
see the above items (and launch and view) from a standard account user!

Also, is there a way to see a history of files/dates that were accessed in
like an Explorer-type view? I cam across it somehow the other day and I was
quite surprised to see that I had accessed some files about a year ago. I
guess I was surprised that the history had remained for so long.

How can I clean off this information from the standard user account?

Thanks!
Walter

If you right-click the Recent Items option on your start menu and choose
Send To > Desktop, it creates a recent items folder. It shows the recent
items in Explorer-type view, and it will show you more than what shows up in
just using Recent Items from the start menu. But I don't know if you can
control how far it goes back.

Also, you might consider downloading a third party app like CCleaner.
They're more efficient than the built in Vista tools when it comes to
removing details you don't want to keep on the machine.
