I have about 15 computers in a domain based network. The server is
Win2k server running AD. All of the workstations show up in Network
Neighborhood except one. It's running Win2k Pro. It's part of the
domain. It's listed under Active Directory, Computers.

Can someone clue me in as to why it's not listed in Network
Neighborhood?

TIA,

Re: Computer not in Network Neighborhood

Hello Jordon,

Check this:

Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP

network properties>TCP/IP>advanced>WINS>enable netbios over TCP

Re: Computer not in Network Neighborhood

Yes it is. I did try removing it from the domain and assigning it to a
work group and then rejoining the domain and all is well. Thanks for
you help Meinolf.

Re: Computer not in Network Neighborhood

Probably a long shot but check that the machine is not hidden from the
browse list. At a command prompt issue:

net config server

Look in the output and check the Server hidden line.

You can check the same at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanManServer\Parameters

Value Name: Hidden

0 = visible
1 = hidden
