Good Afternoon,

I had a quick question regarding our Windows 2003 Terminal Server and
newly acquired WYSE Thin Clients. We managed to establish sound between both
products, but are now experiencing choppy sound (buffering) when we try to
watch live streaming video ie: CNN, through a RDP session. I work for a
school district and the teachers are planning to utilize certain sites with
live streaming video. I would appreciate it if someone could provide
assistance with a possible terminal server or WYSE setting, configuration
solution. Thank you for your time.

2003 Windows Terminal Server and XP Clients.
T3 Pipe to Internet.
WYSE Model: WinTerm SX0

Regards,

David Leonardi

Re: Terminal Server 2003

RDP was never designed for video streaming, it has no built-in real-time
capabilities. This means that you are likely to never get good audio and
video quality through RDP sessions. Ask WYSE if they have a solution for
running the media player locally on the thin client.

Re: Terminal Server 2003

I will take that in consideration and approach WYSE about an alternate
solution. Thanks for your advice and assistance.

Re: Terminal Server 2003

You can also install Citrix that is more suitable for this kind of things.
