Well, I based that upon the previously offered 98SE upgrade CD provided by
Microsoft. That was the 98 updates rolled into, were it NT, Service
Pack1 which was named Windows 98 Second Edition Updates. That was the
ORIGINAL way most of us got SE. Which we all installed without too many
difficulties [all right, yes I remember, it did fill these News groups with
hundred of complaints].
Were it the querier's computer<< AND all drivers and program updates were
downloaded PRIOR to the clean install then I would also recommend the clean
install. Good time to get rid of the accumulated junk.
