Hi,
I am receiving an Event ID 5805
"The session setup from the computer <UNIX_SERVER> failed to
authenticate. The following error occurred:
Access is denied."
and
Event ID 3210
"This computer could not authenticate with \\<UNIX_SERVER>, a Windows
domain controller for domain <NT_DOMAIN>, and therefore this computer
might deny logon requests. This inability to authenticate might be
caused by another computer on the same network using the same name or
the password for this computer account is not recognized. If this
message appears again, contact your system administrator."
I have a RedHat Enterprise 4 server setup to authenticate users from
AD. I am using winbind for this. I have checked the configuration in
both samba (smb.conf) as well as Winbind (nsswitch.conf)
configurations and all seems to be appropriately set up.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this behavior?
Further to the issue, I have checked the time on my domain and the
Linux server and set it up on both appropriately. Also the wbinfo -u
command fails to list users from the AD rest of the wbinfo commands
work
Regards,
SID
