Re: This copy of Windows is not genuine

I have had GENUINE Vista Business, installed from a GENUINE cd, since just
after its release in 2007. It is now 26 January 2008 and today was the first
time I ever saw the "This copy of Windows is not genuine" message. All of my
functions worked ok, but I decided to get on this forum anyway for info on
why it happened. After sorting through all the angst and slams against MS, I
found WBurchnall's simple fix, did exactly as he said, and now have no more
problems.

I definitely am not as smart as all of you, so let me ask this: since I did
not have a bogus copy of Vista, why would this happen?

Right before this happened, did you update any drivers? Hardware?

Weird. Sounds like more proof that Microsoft's WGA program is buggy and
comes up with false positives.
