Good Morning,

I have reviewed the articles at the following addresses:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/298138/en-us
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;555012

However, using the original CA Name is not an option. I will not be trying
to import anything from the retiring CA, so this will be a completely new and
fresh install on a server with a different name.

The main questions I have:
1. Can I create a new certificate authority on the new server with a
different name and bring it online without incident?

2. If there are caveats to look for when installing a new CA, what are they?

Thanks in advance.

RE: Create new certificate Authority - Not Move

I have answered my own questions and the resolution is in lace and
functioning. Albeit, after the upgrade to SP2 for the servers, some
permissions were not automatically inherited, so ADSIEDIT was utilized as the
remedy.
