Printers missing in Access under TS

This applies to just one user in her Terminal Services Session on Server
2003.

She has a choice of 3 different Laser printers in her printer list.

MS Access 2003. Open existing databases (in Access 2000 file format) and
zero printers are available. No databases in 2003 format. Forms and tables
are viewable but not reports.

I am not sure if this is a TS problem or Access problem? How do I determine
which? No other users have the problem.

Logon as a different user from her workstation, while she is logged on
locally. If the printers appear, then there is a problem with her profile.
If the printers do not appear, then either you don't have the appropriate
printer drivers or driver mappings on the TS, or the client on that
workstation is no configured to connect client printers.

Thanks Patrick,
I'll get her to do that on Monday. I'll also get her to try from a different
workstation for the sake of thoroughness.
However, from your reply, I'm not sure I've explained the situation
properly.

In TS she can see the 3 lasers under Printers & Faxes (also Microsoft Office
Document and Microsoft XPS Document Writer). She can print to any laser from
Excel and from Word etc.

In Access no printers are visible at all. Consequently, she can't even
preview a report. Neither can she open a report in design mode. Data
entry/edit is fine whether using a form or directly in the table. She can
print (mail merge) envelopes using the access database as the source for the
names & addresses.

I can logon as her remotely and I have exactly the same situation so it
seems workstation independent.

I suspect this is somehow an Access issue and not a TS problem but cannot
rule TS out entirely.

I have solved the problem. It is an Access bug.

If the default printer is not a local printer then Access can't handle it.
Creating a local printer and changing that to be the default printer allows
Access to build a list of available printers. You can then choose a
different destination printer at print time.

I am surprised that such a bug remains undiscovered and unfixed in a 5yr old
product as popular as Access.

Maybe that's because Access on a Terminal Server is very *unpopular*.
