I have a keyboard macro program that I have running in the background.
Unfortunately, it has some hotkeys that clash with a cad program that I use.

Usually (when I remember), I shut down the keyboard program before
running the cad but since the cad program is started from a .bat file I
wondered whether there was a way to terminate the keyboard program from
within that .bat file.

You can use the Kill command from the Resource Kit or Sysinternals'
PSKill, look for it on the Microsoft site.
