Terminal services was installed in Application mode about 20 days ago. I'm
now getting a message that states the computer needs to coonect to a Windows
2003 server TS License server within 14 days. I looked at the date stamps in
the event log and everything looks fine. There was no jump in date.

I'm still testing software and have to verify to management that everthing
works prior to purchasing CALS.

Any idea why I'm not getting the 120 days grace period?

RE: 120 Day Grace Period - Only getting 35 days

I have seen instances where the grace period refers back the date of the
system build, even when I could have sworn that it should have started when
TS was installed. Is this what is happening to you?

Yes, the OS was installed on 10/25/2007 and I know for a fact that I did not
put the server into application mode until mid-January. The event log proves
this too. Do you think there is anything I can do to get a temp license from
Microsoft on this?

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, this seems to be by design (although it amazes me
too). Documented here:

Evaluation Period
